Cookies
What bunpav stores in your browser, which storage is required, and how optional analytics stays off until you allow it.

1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small values a website asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage keeps browser-side preferences but is not automatically sent with every request. This policy covers both, along with similar browser technologies used by bunpav.
2. Storage currently used
| Storage | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Auth.js session and security cookies | Keep you signed in, protect authentication flows, and return you to the requested page. | Essential | Session or configured authentication expiry |
bunpav-cookie-consent | Remember whether you allowed analytics or selected necessary storage only. | Essential preference | Until browser storage is cleared or you change the choice |
bunpav-studio-favorites | Remember Primitive Lab favorites on the same device. | Functional | Until browser storage is cleared |
_ga and _ga_* | Distinguish pseudonymous visitors and sessions for Google Analytics reporting. | Optional analytics | Controlled by Google Analytics and browser settings |
3. Analytics choice
Google Analytics is not loaded before a first-time visitor selects “Allow analytics.” Selecting “Only necessary” leaves analytics disabled. If you later switch from analytics to necessary storage, bunpav removes the analytics cookies it can access and reloads the page without the Analytics component.
4. Browser controls and limitations
You can delete or block cookies through browser settings and clear local storage through site-data controls. Blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent sign-in or secure account features. Browser controls, extensions, and global privacy signals may also limit analytics independently of bunpav’s setting.
5. Changes and contact
We will update this table when we add a materially different cookie, SDK, advertising feature, or browser storage key. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
