FAQ
- Is Tape Knights free?
- Yes. It runs in your browser with no download and no account needed while we're testing — create a room, or hit Join any game.
- Can I 1v1 a friend?
- Yes. Switch the room to Duel mode: two knights fight, everyone else watches, winner stays on and the loser goes to the back of the line. Solo, you duel a bot.
- How does combat work?
- Click to swing (flick the mouse left or right to pick the direction), hold to charge a heavy blow, and hold right-click to block. Start a block just before a hit lands for a perfect parry that leaves your attacker dizzy. Kick (F) breaks guards, Space dodges, Q throws your weapon and E grabs another.
- What weapons are there?
- Longsword, battle axe, mace, spear, warhammer, flail, dagger, rubber chicken and your fists. Each has its own damage, reach and speed — the flail wraps round guards, the hammer smashes them, the dagger doubles up from behind.
- How many players?
- Up to 10 knights per match, with bots to fill the courtyard and drop-in so friends can join a match already in progress.
